Movie Review # 4

WANTED

Director: Prabhu Deva

***1/2 [3 & 1/2 stars]

Prabhu Deva has proved it once again that his is not only the one of the best Indian Dancer/Choreographer but also one of the best directors. Though Wanted is a remake of Pokiri [Telugu/Tamil], it still has a fresh fragrance in it! The movie stars our favorite hero "Salman Khan" who seems to be still eligible to kick off any other hero of the younger generation. Look at his body and physique, any girl will go crazy on him and any guy would make him his idol!

The director also has made Salman to move his legs for the tracks which is a rare opportunity to see. The movie also stars Ayesha Takia who suits well into the role played by Ileana & Asin in the originals. She still has the same innocence she portrayed in Socha Na Tha. Great going Ayesha, keep it up!

The movie also has Vinod Khanna, Mahesh Manjrekar & Prakash Raj playing well off their respective characters with ease. Anil Kapoor, Govinda & Prabhu Deva hop into the screen to shake their legs for a song "Mera Hi Jalwa". The dialogues also give you a kick which is very hard to find in bollywood nowadays like "Agar mein Commitment Kardu, toh mein khud ki bhi nahi sunta", "Mujhe Gundon se zyada tum se darr lagta hain" & many more. The comedy part is ok ok and not as good as in Tamil. Songs also play a set back when compared to the original flicks.

All in all, a good entertainer. Welcome back to action Salman!!!

Austerity Drive... Non sense!

I recently read the first half of the title phrase in an Indian Newspaper. Then it gradually become a routine headline from past few days!!! What non sense!!! Dont Indian people travel in ordinary compartments or classes! The Indian politicians are dramatising it heavily and the foolish media supporting it equally! One publication of such stuff is enough right. Like I first read Mr. Pranab Mukherjee announce this and felt it was a good decision at last and it should be made compulsory. Then I read that a few more politicians like SM Krishna, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi doing it and saving the tax money of Indian citizens [Very few pay loyally of course], I really appreciated by heart. Though somewhere in the corner of mind, I had that this is a publicity stuff, I still felt atleast some thousands got saved. But then, I read How the greatly applauded Shashi Tharoor proved that he is an amateur and immature politician. With his taunting comment on the austerity drive indirectly, he again proved he is misfit into politics! Dude do social service being outside politics. Why the hell you being an educated scholar got into politics and trying hard to be a politician! And these Indian opposition and people never will learn to behave in a dignified manner. The so called Oldest Civilisation has made them so uncivilised as to damage the Shatabdi Express train by pelting stones and thus again making that bill paid indirectly from the tax money. When will they realise the truth not to destroy public property?

Politicians, Please donot fool Indians with your foolish acts. If you do it, do it with heart and not with media! I hope the people also behave in a civilised manner! I am not against any politician or any Indian, I am proud to be an Indian & I want to see India develop in a proper way!!! Am I wrong?

Some favors cannot be returned!

Sept. 5th, the day in India is celebrated as "Teacher's Day".

Teachers are someone whose favors cannot be returned. They are the ones who play a vital role in our development after our parents and grandparents! In each stage of our life, they have indirectly supported us and are responsible for what we are today. There can be no words to thank them, what I can do in my capacity in return is to wish them a very very very happy Teacher's Day to all of my beloved teachers. We owe you.
