As I mentioned in the #1, we had reached Tumkur by 10 am and we spent around 2 hours in my friend's house. We had nice stomachful of breakfast and started to leave to Devarayanadurga, the first place we had planned to go. One of our friends couldnot make to the trip and thus us 9 left on 4 bikes and one kinetic honda!!

It was a nice drive with nice landscape around all along racing each others bike. But my friend Dr. BM was in full josh as he was alone on Kinetic Honda. He was riding it as if its a Hayabusa :-D

On the way there was this Gorur Lakshmi Temple which is very famous it seems. So we planned to go there for half an hour. The temple was a nice one, a moderate sized Hindu Temple with usual crowd around. There were many shops around as its there around many big temples and also pay parking:-)
We were thrilled that there is one 'Teeta' dam just beside the temple and happy that we covered additional 2 places to account. We spent more time than expected at the dam. It was such a fun pulling each others legs. Then we had to leave the place as we were already getting late for our next place. So we continued our ride towards Devarayanadurga. The road we have to drive to this place is like a mini ghat section with plenty of curves and up. We can go only half way up.

We have to climb up the stairs to reach the main temple. The passage is narrow but I still remember there were new dustbins installed there & we put our dear friend Dr. P into one of them and
beat him for fun. Ha Ha Ha. The view from top was spectacular. Also there were plenty of monkey to give company to us there. Warning - never carry anything in your hands:-)
The temple was a nice one with a kalyani [ a small pond with water ] in front of it. We have a nice group photo all standing on the steps of the kalyani. We decided to climb up the rest of the hill so that we also get some experience of trekking. We were tired up by the time we reached up to the temple which compelled us to rest before we start our trekking.....
